Visitors

Chances are that if you're on this page, you either know someone in our ministry, or you want to know more about us. Either way, we'll cut right to the chase and tell you what we're all about.

Our primary fuction is to create moments in which teens can experience God and his work . These moments can happen anywhere, can happen at any time, and can be individual or communal. We strive to help guide teens, specifically 7th through 12th graders, as they explore the claims of Christianity and develop spiritually. Our goal is to help teens choose for themselves what they believe and make wise decisions about how to put that belief into practice.

We use the Bible as our guide, but we don't force anyone to believe anything. We know that if we simply present the truth found in God's Word, we won't have to. The truth tends to convince on its own.

We're not a "youth group". We realized a several years ago that a group could be a lot of things, but they are usually purposeless and closed to outsiders. We strive to be welcoming to everyone, willing to serve God by serving others, and to help teens live lives with meaning.

Our Teen Ministry is made up of many kinds of teens: musicians, athelets, artists, and gamers; honors students, and those who struggle to pass; some who wear American Eagle, some who wear Element, and some who wear Walmart; some are quiet while others can't sit still. Everyone's welcome. We also have some great adults who work with our teens. They're called Guides because they help lead teens into wise choices and healthy relationships. We could go on and on about how great our guys are, but it's better if you just see for yourself.

There's a lot more to tell you about who we are and what we do, but the best thing you can do now is explore our section of the BOC website. You'll find plenty of good information in the Programs section and Upcoming Events page. If you still have questions, please contact our Teen Minister, Dave McInnis.
